Welcome to Polish Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden in Powsin!

Our Garden was established in 1974 as an research facility and it was opened for visitors in 1990. The Garden lies on the outskirts of Warsaw and it’s easily accessible by public transportation as well as by the car. For your convenience and amusment, our Garden is open year round.

Garden is open 7 days a week from 9 am to 7 pm (entrance from the side Prawdziwka street to 6 pm)

Entrance from the side of Kabacki Forest – 9 am to 7 pm (entrance to 4 pm in the week and to 6 pm on the weekends)

The Orangery is open on Monday from 9 am to 6.30 pm

The Fangorovka Galerry is closed

The Botanica Cafe & Bistro is open from 10 am to 6 pm

Ticket offices close 30 minutes prior to the Garden closing.
You can pay by cash or credit cards (Visa, MasterCard accepted).

About the Garden

The Garden covers an area of ​​approximately 40 hectares. You can admire here, among others, an Arboretum (trees and shrubs collection), Polish flora and perennials collections, vegetable and medicinal plants, the national collection of cultivated varieties of roses and the tropical and subtropical plant collection located in Garden’s orangery.

Feel free to rest in the Garden and deepen Your knowledge about Polish nature. Walk on foot, but for the safety of others, leave your bikes and scooters in the designated areas (by the entrance to the Garden). Please do not bring dogs, cats or any other animals to the Garden (with the exception of guide dogs for people with vision loss).

We would like to remind you, that consumption of alcohol, using drugs, smoking and lighting fires in the Garden is strictly prohibited. Children can stay in the Garden only under adult supervision.

Apart from walking through garden paths, listening to classical music (during annual Floralia concerts) or visiting various exhibitions organised at the Garden, you’re more than welcom to stop in Cafe Ogród where you can order a piece of a homemade, delicious cakes, scoop of natural ice cream and cup of coffee.
