Last Tuesday, 27 June, a seminar was held with Alidovar Sodatsairov, who presented a topic on the changes in fauna and flora caused by global warming and retreating glaciers in the Pamir mountains.

The objective of the seminar was to provide an overview of an upcoming project in Tajikistan, where we will be conducting extensive studies on the effects of climate change in the region. Our research will focus on aspects such as expansive and alien species growth, the upward movement of plants with retreating glaciers, competition between endemic and invasive species, and generating valuable data to address climate change-related questions. It was an exciting opportunity to share insights into this important project.
